AGAINST THE GOVERNMENT (Special to THE SUN) TE AROHA, Tuesday. Questions have been asked Messrs. P. Keegan (Waikato) and F. Colbeck (Tauranga) about their party’s intentions on no-confidence motions. Both stand for the Country Party. Mr. Keegan said they would vote against the Government. A Voice: That is for Labour. Mr. Keegan: Labour is protectionist. We are free traders. The Country Party will not vote for Labour. A Voice: If a Bill on two issues came before the House, the Country Party would have to vote with either Labour or Reform. Mr. Keegan: We are not going to vote Labour in or out, or Reform in or out. We are going in to help posterity. A Voice* Then you will not vote at all Mr. Keegan: Certainly we are going In to vote against the Government. At Tauranga, Mn. Colbeck said: My position is quite clear. It is a matter of policy. We will vote against the Government, no matter who moves the motion. A Voice: Would you join Labour? Mr. Colbeck: If they would advance our policy, yes. A Voice: You told us already that vou had no time for Reform. Mr. Colbeck: I do not care a hang about party. I will vote for the party which will try to restore the economic balance.
