OLD HOMESTEAD BURNED
BLAZE AT PALMERSTON NORTH (Special to THE SUN) PALMERSTON N?, Monday. Fire destroyed a four-roomed wooden house at Ashhurst early yesterday morning. The building, which was owned by Mrs. Christina Jensen and occupied by her son, Mr. V. C. B. Jensen, his wife and their two children, was built over 40 years ago. Nothing was saved from the fire, which is thought to have been caused through a defective chimney.
