FINED FOR FRAUD
SAID THE FIRM WOULD PAY (From Our Own Correspondent) HAMILTON, To-day. A fin© of £5 was imposed upon Michael Neville, 34, by Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M.. to-daj*, for obtaining credit by fraud. Senior-Sergeant Sweeney said accused went to a car service office in New Plymouth and, giving an assumed name, represented that he was employed by a well-known Auckland firm, which he said would pay his fare to Hamilton. Accused was driven to Hamilton, where he admitted that he had no authority to pledge the firm’s credit in the way he did. He was unable to pay his fare.
