PRISONER ESCAPES FROM CELL

AWAITING TRIAL FOR BURGLARY Press Association RAETIHI. Tuesday. An escape from the Raetihi police cells was made this morning by Charles William Wahle, who had been arrested on charges of breaking and entering and false pretences at Ohakune. A constable made the discovery at **.3o a.m.. and all stations were notified it* watch for Wahle. He had previously escaped from Rangitoto Island about two years ago, and was recaptured lat€*r. Wahle's description is as follow: Height, 6ft lin; weight 12st.: ir complexion, blue eyes. He was v . uing a blue serge suit and a light Xt hat. He is 23 years of age.
