UNIVERSITY V. PARNELL Parnell won tho toss and started its innings at 10 o’clock on a very sticky', drying wicket that gave the howlers every help. Wilson, University’s lefthander. did great execution. Tho best innings of the morning was Roskilly’s, who put up 31 before his wicket fell to Wilson. Lamb, batting m great style, hit a six and several i fours, getting -4 in quick time, before | lie was caught by Smith and Gee. ‘ The innings closed at mid-day for l 116. Tho University batsmen played very i cautiously on the tricky wicket. Three of them fell in quick succession, but by lunch time, at 12.45, Gee was just beginning to get set.
