EMPIRE
“WHY SAILORS GO WRONG” “Why Sailors Go Wrong,” a thoroughly amusing comedy, is the main attraction at the Empire Theatre this evening. It concerns the antics of a Jewish taxicab driver and his Irish pal when they are cast ashore on a tropical island. How thej{ escape the clutches of a cannibal crew and survive to woo some beautiful hula maidens provides some of the best comedy shown this year.
Sammy Cohen and Ted McNamara appear at their best, .nd Sally Phipps and Nick Stuart prove an appealing couple as the shipwrecked lovers. “The Desert Woman,” starring Irene Rich in the role of the wife of a British army officer in India, will also be shown.
