MOTOR-SALESMAN FINED

Henry Stanley Jones, aged 38, a motor salesman, pleaded guilty at Ashburton yesterday to a charge of being drunk in charge of a car and not guilty to unlawfully converting the car to his own use. He was fined £25, with £3 costs, and had his licence suspended for three months on the first charge. The second charge was dismissed. The prosecution arose out of a collision in which the car driven by Jones was damaged beyond repair. The car belonged to his employers.
