MISCHIEF ON MT. EDEN
TWO BOYS ADMONISHED Two boys wht> had made the direction table on the top of Mount Eden the object of their michievous attentions appeared before the Children’s Court this morning. They were charged with causing damage to public property. It appeared that the boys had not intended any wilful damage, but one of them had been pointing out the directions to his mate with a stick and had perhaps been a little too emphatic in his demonstrations. The action was brought by the Mount Eden Borough Council ih order to draw the attention of the public to the care that must be taken of public property. The lads were admonished and discharged, the presiding justice remarking that in this particular ease he did not consider the matter at all serious as far as these particular boys were concerned. The Bench was emphatic that in cases where really serious mischief occurred the offenders would be dealt with more severely.
