SUNFISH MUST BE TOUGH
S UNFISH’S penalty of 36yds in the Northland Cup brings tho Auckland-owned pacer back to a 4.38 mark, but as he won nicely on Wednesday in 4.35 1-5, the Sungod gelding must have a royal chance of success if he visits Whangarei. Tho Abbey, who ran third in the Remuera Handicap, was well beaten at the finish in 4.37 3-5, and the Canterburytrained pacer may beat him again. Nelson Tasker, another Northland Cup candidate, finished third in the Junction Handicap, registering 4.36, and off his mark on Monday does not look like beating Sunfish or The Abbey.
