Land-Tax Payment The Commissioner of Taxes has announced that the date for the payment of land-tax for the current year is Wednesday. November 7. Demands will be posted on or übouj October 31. Unlawful Listening For failing to renew hia radio licence, G. G. C. Lewis was ordered to pay costs at the Police Court this morning. Meeting of Tribes Maori representatives of every tru* > in the Dominion gathered at Frankton yesterday to celebrate the 106th anniversary of the foundation of the Methodist Church In New Zealand. Rev. A J. Seamen, general superintendent of the Maori Missions, organised the meeting. An impressive ceremony included poi dances, native songs, ancient fireside games and stories.
