PRESBYTERIAN ASSEMBLY

TO MEET IN AUCKLAND This year the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church of New Zealand will meet in Auckland and will be presided over by the Rev. Professor William Hewiteon, master of Knox College, Dunedin, who was elected moderator at last year’s assembly in Christchurch. Professor Hewitson, who was born in Victoria in 1861, was an officer in the Union Bank of Australia before entering the ministry*. From ISBB to 1895 he was minister at Brunswick. Victoria, and in 1895 was appointed to the chargre of Knox Church, Dunedin. Since 1909 he has been master of Knox College and he has also been a member of the council of the Otago University and of the Senate of the University of New Zealand. This year the Assembly will meet in St. David’s Church, Khyber Pass.
