A verdict that death was due to pneumonia following an injury to the leg, accidentally received, was returned by the coroner, Mr. Wyvern Wilson, S.M., at the adjourned inquest to-day concerning the death of Adam Lind Bruce, farmhand, aged 27, whose leg was fractured through a falling tree while working on Mr. J. Milne’s farm at Waiorongomai, Te Aroha, on October 5. Bruce died in the Waikato Hospital over a week ago. Hr. A. G. Waddell said h£ conducted a post-mortem examination and found that death was due to pneumonia. He could not say whether deceased had been infected by other cases in the ward or whether the cause had been due to general debility following the accident.
