GAOL TERM FOR THEFT

Press Association PALMERSTON N., Wednesday. In the Magistrate’s Court to-day, v ictor Fred Hill pleaded guilty to four charges of theft and one of false presences at Otaki and Feilding, the sums involved totalling £5 12s 6d. The Magistrate refused probation in view of the fact that accused had been convicted previously of false pretences. Hill was sentenced to three months’ Imprisonment on each charge, the terms to be cumulative. Accused therefore goes to gaol for 15 months.
