Frederic William MacDonald, uncle of twe Prime Minister, Mr. Baldwin. The late Rev. Frederic W. MacDonald president of the Wesleyan Methodist Conference. 1899. He visited Australia nnd New Zealand In 1903. He was born on February 35, 1843, and was educated St. Peter’s Collegiate School and Owens College, Manchester. He entered the ministry in 1862, was joint editor of the “London Quarterly Review,’’ 1574-5; represented the British Methodist Conference in America, 1880: was appointed Professor of theology, Handsworth Co 1*•B®. 1881; and secretary of the Wesleyan -Missionary Society, 1891. His publications include “Life of Fletcher of Madeley,” “Life of William Morley Punshon,” “Latin Hymns in the Wesifyan Hymn Book.’’ “In a Nook With a B °ok,“ and “As a Tale that is Told.”
