Avro Avian’s Flight The Avro Avian airplane which wa<s recently assembled at Christchurch, arrived from Blenheim at 12.15 p.m. It made a perfect landing at Lyall Bay.— P.A. * * * Killed by Bullet Charles Lewis Fleming, aged 65, a married man living at South Dunedin, was found dead this morning with a bullet wound in his right temple. A pea-rifle was lying alongside the body.—P.A. * * * Show at Hastings The Hawke’s Bay Agricultural and Pastoral Society’s Spring Show opened to-day in glorious weather. There are just on 3,000 entries, a record. Tho general standard of exhibits is well up to that of previous years. The horse competitions have drawn very largo entries. A record crowd is anticipated on People’s Day to-morrow.
