WELCOME TO MR. HARRIS Friends and supporters of Mr. A. Harris, M.P., will meet him to-morrow evening, when a “Welcome Home” will be given to him in the Foresters' Hall, Takapuna. It is probable that Mr. Harris will open his election campaign at Devonport on Monday evening. SIR EDWARD RIDLEY DEAD British Official Wireless ■ RUGBY. Tuesday. The death has taken place at the age of 85 of Sir Edward Ridley, who was for 20 years a Judge of the High Court. Sir Edward Ridley was a Judge on the King’s Bench Division of the High Court from 1897 to J 917. He was born in 1843, and educated at Harrow and Oxford. He was '-ailed to the Bar in 186 S. He was M.P. for South Northumberland, 1870-ISBO. He was made a Privy Councillor in 1917.
