PRISON FOR ASSAULT
(Special to THE SUN) DANNEVIRkE, Tuesday. A Maharahara farmer, William Hermansen, who assaulted Thomas Hanson when he was leaving his employ, was to-day sentenced to imprisonment for 21 days, the magistrate taking a serious view of the Incident Hanson stated that accused threw his gear out of the room, picked up a heavy gate hinge weighing several pounds, and struck him several times across his arms. Hanson was under treatment for several days.
