Recent advices from America givfe details of the new. record established by a Stutz on the Pike’s Peak, the most formidable endurance test known. The new record was made on September 3. the time being 17min 41 2-ssec. The previous record was made three years ago. * * w An entirely new car, the Graham Paige, is now on the market in America and a model has reached New Zealand. This was brought bj' a Mr. Martin, factory representative, who left Auckland last week for Rotorua and Wc llington. One of the features of this new car is the four-speed gearbox. A North of England undertaking has constructed a novel type of show-room on a motor chassis, to tour the country districts so as to popularise the use of gas. The interior of the vehicle is large enough to accommodate a number of gas-cookers, fires, water heaters, lamp fittings, standards and accessories. Water and gas are laid on and visitors can inspect the exhibits as they would in an ordinary shop.
