WORK FOR 130 MEN

SOME FOR TAUMARUNUI As the result of the unemployed deputation to the Mayor, Mr. G. Baildon, last week, 30 men have been placed on the Western Springs area by the council, and the Government has undertaken to offer work for 100 men in the Taumarunui area. The 100 will be engaged on metalling on the main central road through the island. The Public Works Department has had this surveyed and prepared in case of the necessity of putting on men.
