ATHENIAN CLUB

END OF SEASON The concluding Athenian Club evening of the season was held on Saturday, in the Operatic Hall, Grafton Road. The function was organised by the women of the club. The hall was decorated with all sorts of queer heads being displayed, with streamers and other novelties. The stage setting was particularly brilliant. 9 fine musical programme was contributed by the following artists: Duet, Miss Alma McGruer and Miss Beryl Smith; elocutionary items. Miss Doris Messer; apache dance, Miss Gwynn McNaughton and partner; songs at the piano, Mrs. John Moore; solo, Ralph Eskridge; solo, SergeantMajor Hallahan. The after-season ball of the club will take place on Wednesday, October 17, at the Orange Hall, Newton Road.
