GREAT FINANCE GROUP

REGISTERED IN SYDNEY BOND-ISSUES AS IN U.S. SYDNEY, Friday. One of the most powerful financial groups ever organised in Australia has just been formed, apparently to operate as do the American bond-issuing houses. This is the Australasian Bond and Trust Company, Ltd., which was registered to-day in Sydney. No prospectus has been issued, nor are the directors named, but the signatories include Sir Hugh Denison, Mr. Theodore Fink and others of the wealthiest men in Queensland, New South Wales, Victoria and South Australia. Their purpose, it is understood, is argely to finance local governing authorities, who are now almost solely in the hands of the State Bank and the insurance companies.
