STOLEN AND BURNED
fate of motor-cars thefts from the city \ Two motor-cars which were Stolen from the city by “joyr jde-s” have been found burned, one at Mission Bay and the other at Waikowhai Park. One car was the property of Mr. £dward Lachman, of 39 Dexter Avenue, Mount Eden, and was stolen on Thursday. Early this morning Mr. J. J. Stitehbury found the car abandoned and burned in a blind lane just off Patterson Avenue, Mission Bay. A new Nash sedan, the property of Mr. J- F. Hosking, Seaview Hoad, Kemuera, was stolen from outside his house between 6.40 o’clock on Wednesday evening and 8.30 o’clock on Thursday morning. The car, which was valued at £575, w as found yesterday at Waikowhai park totally destroyed by fire. An Essex sedan belonging to Mr. H. TV. Fortune, of West End Road, Herne Bay, was stolen from outside the public Hospital last evening.. It bears the number 34-548 and has black mudguards and the figure of a tjtork on the radiator cap.
