MANGERE FUNCTION
FAREWELL SOCIAL A large attendance of members of the Mangere Bowling Club and Mangere East Croquet Club attended a social evening in the supper room of the Mangere East Public Hall to bid farewell to Mr. and Mrs. T. Scown and family, who have taken up their residence in Auckland. During the evening a very enjoyable progressive KOO tournament was held, the prize-winners being Mrs. Richard?. 1; Mrs. S- "W". House, consolation: Mr. F. Forder, 1; and Mr. Geoff.; Easlett. consolation. On behalf of the bowling fraternity. Mr. Clark, president of the club, presented Mr. Scown with a bowling bag. and on behalf of the members of the Croquet Club. Mr. S. W. House presented Mrs. Scown with a set of fruit dishes. Miss Fountain contributed a vocal solo, after which supper was served by the members of the Croquet Club.
