ST. JAMES THEATRE
REVUE IN SEASON A subtle blending- of humour, catchy music, and effective dressing are the things that help the revue, “Whirli gigs,” to success at St. James Theatre. On the humour side, the principal contribution is made by the popular and irrepressible comedians, Stiffy and Mo. The methods of these two, original and diverting, brought them to ponularit'”- -ears ago, and the sineerest tribute to their art is the way in which the freshness of their appeal has persisted The Charleston Symphonic Six, a first-rate jazz band combination* play the latest music, and ihtroduce several solo novelties by way of variety. Amy Rochelle, a singer of great versatility, can treat of everything from opera to child impersonations. She is equally successful*in each; some of her light comedy work being extraordinarily good. Sadie Gale, a dainty singer of light number.'', sings quite as well as she looks, which is saying a good deal. The Radio Six, the brightest thing in ballets seen for a long time, give added lustre, to the revue. “Whirligigs” remains in season this evening.
