FIRE AT MOUNT EDEN

SIX-ROOMED HOUSE DAMAGED A six-roomed house at 78 Esplanade Road was damaged by fire about 2.45 a.m. this morning. Tho house was owned and occupied by Mrs. C. R. Richardson. The fire began in the kitchen by the stove and burned upwards, damaging the room above. The Mount Eden Fire Brigade turned out smartly and made a good save, more damage being done by smoke and water than by fire. The house was insured tor £1.090 and the furniture for £2OO in the South British office.
