GAS EXTENSIONS

CITY MAINS GROW POPULARITY OF COOKERS During the nine months of this year the Auckland Gas Company has extended its mains by 13,304 yards. At a meeting of directors, held yesterday, an extension of 742 yards, making up the quoted total, was authorised. There has also been a big increase in tho use of gas cookers, and they are at present being installed at a rate of 230 a month. The present total supplied by the company is 34,416, and the increase during the past nine months has been 743.
