MOTORIST IN HOSPITAL

COMPANION ARRESTED AFTER SMASH (Special to THE SUN) STRATFORD, Monday. -A- motor-car, which had been running in an erratic course for some distance, crashed into a bank at Te Roti yesterday afternoon- One of the occupants, James Murphy, was arrested, the other, George Larsen, being taken unconscious to the Hawera Hospital.

Several collisions had narrowly been averted by motorists and cyclists along the route, among them being Sergeant Henry, of* the Hawera police. The two men are thought to have come from Auckland, and to have begun their car journey from Xgaere.
