CHILDREN CONDUCT SERVICE

ST. JOHN’S SUNDAY SCHOOL Over 100 children of the St. John’s Methodist Sunday School conducted the whole service at the afternoon anniversary service of the school yesterday. The children, who were all under the age of 10, took the platform and gave an exhibition of singing, Bible plays, recitations and memory work which reflected creditably on the new methods now being adopted in Sunday School work. The Rev. Arthur Mitchell occupied the pulpit and a large congregation was present. In paying a tribute to the children’s work, the Rev. Arthur Mitchell referred to the good work being done in both departments by the trained teachers under the leadership of Mrs. E. Pierce (primary) and Miss E. Casley (junior).
