At a special meeting of the Alata - mata branch of th« Auckland Acclimatisation Society, held on Friday evening, discussion became heated on the question of trolling in Lake Ampuni. Finally, a proposal by th© presid-m*. Air. W. W. Livingstone, that the parent body be asked to permit trolling from rowboats only for three months*, in order to gain experience of the effect of trolling in the lake, was carried by seven votes to five.
