KAURI BOARD FINANCES
Statements circulated recently regarding alleged losses made by the Kauri Gum Control Board during its last financial year drew an emphatic protest from members at the monthly meeting of the board yesterday. It was stated that the allegations were absolutely without foundation, and that the board’s finances were in a very healthy condition. Its operations on a commission ‘basis on diggers’ accounts were increasing steadily, BUTTER AND CHEESE A. H. Turnbull and Co. advise receipt of the following cable from their London principals. W. Weddel and Co., under date October s:—"Danish butter, 195 s to 1965; New Zealand, unsalted, 187 s to 196 - New Zealand salted, 178 s to 184 s; market slow except unsalted. Cheese—New Zealand white; 112 s to 113 s; coloured 110 s to Ills; market quiet; Canadian, white 116 s to 114 s; coloured, 110 s to 1128,"
