AUCKLAND SUBURBS

SIR JAMES GUNSON’S CANDIDATURE WOMEN SUPPORTERS MEET Enthusiasm in the interests of the Reform candidate for the Auckland Suburbs seat, Sir James Gunson, was expressed at a meeting of about 40 women supporters, held yesterday afternoon at the residence of Mr. G. R. Hutchinson, Birkenhead. Air. R. Tozer presided. Emphasising the necessity for electing men of a very high standard, Mrs. Carr Rollett referred to the public positions that had been held by their candidate, including those of chairman of the Auckland Harbour Board and Mayor of Auckland. “We are fortunate in having such a capable candidate for the constituency,” said Mrs. Rollett. Sir James Gunson confined his address mainly to his desire to study and carry on to the best of his ability the requirements of his constituency in particular and the country in gen.eral.
