McCONACHY BEATS RECORD FOR AUCKLAND LINDRUM MORE CONSISTENT i A break of 887, a r.-cord for Auck- | land, was the chief feature of yesterday's play in the Dili lards match between McCunachy and Lindrum. The splendid play of both men immensely pleased the large audience at both the afternoon and evening sessions. He was warmly applauded for his top-of-the-table play. From then on Lindrum practically dominated the session, and regained his good lead by making breaks of 53 and 77, .and running to sessional points, with a brilliant effort of 325 unfinished. The session aeores were: W. Lindrum, 13.501 (in play), breaks of 316 and 325, unfinished; average, 153. C. McConachy, 12,334, break of 504; average, 100. The match will be continued at three o'clock this afternoon and eight o’colck this, evening.
