OWNERSHIP OF SHEEP
ACTION AGAINST AUCTIONEERS After hearing protracted legal argument in the Supreme Court yesterday afternon, Mr. Justice Smith reserved his decision in the action Tema Pouwhare Kewene (Mr. Holmden) v. Alfred Buckland and Sons, Ltd. The case arose out of the sale of sheep by the latter last year under a distress warrant issued against Ben Pairama. The plaintiff, who claimed £246 damages, was administrator in the estate of Ben Pairama’s father. The latter claimed that the sheep sold were his.
