Pukemiro Collieries have found a market, and sales have taken place at 70« ex div. Buyers of Hikurangi preference improved one penny at midday without drawing sellers on to the market. Auckland Gas are slightly easier, sales taking place at 23s Id. Wellington Woollens are meeting xvith a very firm demand, and, with no sellers, buyers are gradually raising their offers. X feature of the market is the improved demand for both Hayward’s and Puller's Pictures. Buyers of the latter offered threepence over par this morning, but failed to attract sellers under 21s. firm. Oninexnuris have a decidedly weaker tone, buyers’ offers declining to 6s 9d this morning. Taranaki Oils touched lower levels yesterday afternoon, a sale being put through at 7 s 3d.
