r l'H REE Derby candidates, in Wrackler, Sonoma Child and Hinkler, have been accorded a nomination in the Remuera Handicap on the Auckland Club’s second day card, which is run over two miles with a 4.43 limit. This was the only event which gave the claes'c competitors another chance, although under the nomination clause the placed horses in the Derby, providing they can traverse the journey in 3.30 or better, will be eligible for the Newmarket Handicap on the final day.
