ATR. H. A. JARDEN, the wellA known trotting journalist, of Christchurch, and one-time owner of those good pacers Dalmeny and Dalnahine, has been appointed handicapper to the Oamaru Trotting Club, and will allot the marks for the Labour Day fixture. Mr. Jarden, who has had long experience in trotting affairs, should make a capable adjuster, and if he concentrates on this department of the sport his services will probably be in demand by other clubs.
