Dominion Horses to Race at Randwick To-Morrow

PRINCE HUMPHREY’S DERBY CHANCE

QUITE a number of New Zealand horses will be competing at the A.J.C. meeting, which opens at the famous Randwick (Sydney) course to-morrow, and will be continued on Monday, Wednesday and Saturday of next week. It is probable that some good stake money will find its way back to the Dominion.

Of course our outstanding performer will once again be the crack Limond gelding Limerick, who will contest tho three weiglit-for-ago events. Probably tho best odds obtainable in an all-in bet from the Sydney bookmakers against Limerick winning the treble would not be more than evens, or at best six to four, if they would do any business at all on these lines, which shows how respectfully they view the present champion.. Probably the most interesting race at Randwick to-morrow will be the £B,OOO A.J.C. Derby. Prince Humphrey may be our best in this classic. The only prospect Prince Humphrey has of defeating Mollison is in the event of the hitherto unbeaten colt failing over the last furlong. Mollison was made an * odds-on favourite for the Derby after winning the Rosehill Guineas, nine furlongs. That speaks for itself. Other New Zealand three-year-olds in the classic are Hoscrea, Concentrate and Perception. The following is a list of the acceptances for the leading events to be run at the Australian Jockey Club’s spring meeting, which opens at Randwick next Saturday: A.J.C. DERBY Of £3O each, with £B,OOO added; 1?, miles Mollison, by Seremond—Molly’s Robe. Ramulus, by Rossendale—Royal Pet.
