LATE MR. C. WILLIAMSON

FUNERAL AT O’NEILL’S POINT

The funeral of the late Mr. Charles Williamson, held yesterday, was attended by several old residents of Belmont and Takapuna.

A son, Mr. J. W. Williamson, Mayor of Takapuna, and several members of the borough council, were also present. The Rev. W. G. Monekton conducted a short service at Mr. Williamson’s home in Victoria Road. Elder children of the Belmont school lined the drive to the house, forming a guard of honour as the cortege proceeded to O’Neill’s Point Cemetery. The service at the graveside was conducted by Mr. Monekton and Canon E. J. McFarland, of St. Michaels Church, Bayswater. Letters and telegrams of condolence from all parts of New Zealand have been received by Mr. Williamson’s family.
