ROWING CLUB DANCE
FAREWELL TO CHAIRMAN The Xortli Shore Rowing Club held another of its bright dances last evening in the Parish Hall. So far the dances have netted the club £173, which will be spent on new boats. A feature of the evening was a “blues” competition, judged by Miss Arlen and Mr. C. Shorter, of which Miss Hyde and Mr. E. Walls were the winners. The Kit Kat Band supplied music. After the dance a complimentary supper was held as a sendoff to Mr. D. Wrigley, chairman of the social committee, who is leaving New Zealand to-day. He was the recipient of a travelling rug. Miss L .Lord, brocaded opal blue taffeta. Miss L. Hill, black crepe de chine, appliqued. Miss G. Rappard, lemon crepe de chine with diamante. Miss M. Coe, black satin and embossed georgette. Miss Proud, silver lame and rose georgette. Miss Bowen, black crepe de chine with orange reliefs. Miss Tatton, rose pink marocain and silver lace. Miss G. Melville, oyster georgette and silver tissue. Miss Johnston, blue and silver georgette. Miss J. McXicol, black velvet sequinned in colours. Miss C. Nicholson, mandarin blue georgette. Miss M. Arnott, hyacinth blue georgette. Miss P. Arnott, silver lame and emerald crepe de chine. Miss C. Porter, orange taffeta with lace hem. Miss Blanchfield, canton jade satin and shawl. Miss F.
