TENNIS PLAYERS HOLD GAY DANCE

ELLERSLIE CLUB To celebrate tlie opening of the new season tho Ellerslie Tennis Club held a very successful gala dance in the Parish Hall, Ellerslie, last evening. The decorctions were carried out with multi-coloured balloons and gracefully festooned streamers of green and gold. Bamboo foliage and potted shrubs intertwined with twinkling little lights made an effective setting for the gay colours of the dancers’ frocks. The supper tables were graced with bowls of spring flowers. For the non-dancers card tables were set out in an adjoining room, which had been transformed into a cosy corner with the cheerful rad glow of the radiators cunningly concealed in the greenery. Excellent dance music was supplied by Mrs. Howell's Harmonic Orchestra.
