ROTORUA ORPHANS’ CLUB

VISIT BY TASMAN FLYERS There was a large attendance at the fortnightly meeting of the Rotorua Orphans’ Club held in the Druids’ *Hall on Thursday evening. Bro. E. Harvey presided and welcomed visiting brethren from Hamilton and Te Aroha. Later in the evening SquadronLeader C. E. Kingsford Smith, FlightLieutenant C. T. P. TJlm, Mr. H. A. Litchfield and Mr. T. H. McWilliam visited the club and received a great welcome. They were presented with badges and made honorary members of the club. Bro. J. Bradley replied on behalf of the visitors. An excellent musical programme was arranged by Bro. H. J. Sanders. Items were given by the club’s orchestra, Messrs. F. Buckthought, S. N. Reyburn, F. Burnett, G. Sharp, M. Edgar (Te Aroha), G. Walsh (Te Aroha), H. Krough, J. D. A. Painton and J. Finlayson.
