WHAT AUCKLAND WANTS EFFICIENT SUBURBAN SERVICE (THE SUE’S Earllamenth.ru Reporter) WELLINGTON, Friday. The view that the electrification of the Auckland suburban railway system is one of the first works that should be undertaken by the Railway Department was expressed this afternoon by Mr. M. J. Savage, Auckland West, speaking to the Railways Statement. "It should be the first thing considered,” said Mr. Savage, “as qualified men say there is no doubt about it as an economic proposition. It is one of the ways in which the suburban system can be put on a paying basis.
