ROYAL SHOWS “7TH HEAVEN”

The most entertaining mystery comedy to be screened in Auckland will be shown this evening at the Royal Theatre, Kingsland. It is “13 Washington Square," a Universal picture costarring Jean Hersholt and Alice Joyce. It is from the famous play by Leroy Scott, and was prepared for the screen by Harry O. Hoyt, one of the greatest of Hollywood’s comedy scenarists. “13 Washington Square” is a riotous comedy. But it also has a serious theme which is carried with the utmost finesse by Jean Hersholt and Alice Joyce, who give probably the greatest characterisations of their screen careers. “Seventh Heaven,” the beautiful picture which made Janet Gaynor and Charles Farrell famous, will also be shown.
