DELAY IN ERECTION RESIDENTS GET SCEPTICAL (From Our Own Correspondent.) HAMILTON, Friday. A few weeks ago Cabinet advised various Hamilton public bodies that a sum had been authorised for the building of a new courthouse “which would be commenced shortly.” Reference to the delay was made at a meeting of the Chamber of Commerce last evening. “Working plans are being prepared by the Public Works Department, and tenders will be called when these are ready,” states a letter from the lion. J. A. Young, M.P. for Hamilton, received at the meeting. Mr. H. H. Howden expressed the view that if the new building was not in sight in November there would bo
no new building at any time. It was decided to ask when the plans were first started and a committee was appointed to pursue the matter further.
