INQUEST ON WORKMAN Press Association WELLINGTON, Thursday. An inquest was held to-day concerning the death of John Steppings, a rigger, aged 23 years, who was killed through falling 70ft. from a building under construction on Lambton Quay. A verdict was returned that death was due to a fracture of the skull accidentally received through a strong gust of wind causing deceased to fall from the roof of a building.
