WOMAN GREETS CONSTABLE
' “A constable’s uniform must be respected,” said Mr. F. K. Hunt, S.M ~ as he fined Suzana Muldoon £3 at the Police Court this morning for assault. Constable du Temple said that he had been called to a boardinghouse in Newton Road, where he was told the proprietress had been knocking the about. When he arrived at the house Mrs. Muldoon had ordered him out and spat in his face. “I did not think the constable had any right ifi the house,” said Mrs. Muldoon. “Anyway, I did not spit in liis face. I only said ‘Pouf!’” ’Defendant admitted that she had been drinking but said that it was only to cure an attack of neuritis.
