ONE KILLED, TWO HURT

MOTOR-CYCLIST STRIKES GROUP OF WOMEN Press Association ~ NAPIER, To-day. IiTISS MARY RHODES, aged 22, was killed on the TaradaleNapier Road last evening and Miss Eva Jarvis received a broken arm as the result of a collision with a motor-cycle. It is alleged that the machine, ridden by Neil Holderness, dashed into three women as they were walking along the street, after attending a church social. Holderness was also seriously hurt and is unconscious in the Napier Hospital. All four were proceeding in the same direction.
