MOTOR-CYCLE SPORTS

REVIVAL OF INTEREST IN MARTON (From Our Own Correspondent) MARTON, Thursday. Motor-cycle enthusiasts from all parts of the district gathered in Marton on Tuesday evening in an effort to revive the Mar ton Motor Club, which has been inactive for over three years. The resolution was carried unanimously and enthusiastically, and a long list of officers was set up to conduct a sports meeting on the Mar+on Racecourse on February 6 next. Only a short time ago the track was visited by officials of the N.Z.A.C.TJ., who proclaimed it one of the best speed tracks in New Zealand, so with exceptionally good prizes offering, it is reasonable to suppose that all the Dominion speed kings will be present. Mr. Ken Fowler has been elected president and Mr. J. Greaves secretary.
