in the railway service should mean a valuable accession to the ranks of Auckland cricketers. Finlayson, although by no means a young player. shot into the lime1 light last seaC. G. Finlayson son by a remarkable and consistent series of batting and bowling performances in Wellington, and pjayed test cricket against the visiting Australian team. He is a sound bat and accurate left hand slow bowler.
