MR. AND MRS. WILLS MCLAUGHLIN ENTER- ! TAIN FRIENDS. 1 I END OF SEASON The members of the Pakuranga Hunt and. their friends were the guests of Mr. and Mrs. Wills McLaughlin at a very enjoyable dance held at their homestead at Puhi Nui, Papatoetoe, on Tuesday evening. The function was a gay climax to the last meet of a very enjoyable season, and the guests spent the evening dancing to music supplied by Hardman’s Orchestra. During the evening the full company indulged in a number of hunting choruses. Mrs. Wills McLaughlin received her guests wearing a dainty model frock of flame taffeta and a prettily embroidered shawl. Among the house party were: Miss T. Pabst, wearing a frock of pillar box red panne velvet, with trimmings of gold. Miss Audrey Peacock, in a dainty frock of floral taffeta. Miss Somerset-Thomas, who wore a frock of ashes of roses pink taffeta, with fringed skirt. Miss Betty Crowther, frock of white taffeta, daintily embroidered. Members of the committee present were:— Mrs. W. B. Lloyd, in a frock of scarab blue. Mrs. H. Grant, wearing a dainty frock of japonica pink, and black shawl. Mrs. F. A. Price, who wore a black georgette frock. Miss O. Self, frock of lily of the valley ninon. Lady Jean Mclntosh, in a frock of white crepe de chine, with spangled skirt. Among others present were:— Miss P. H. Smith, whose frock was of silver lame, with hand-painted skirt. Mrs. Gordon Rutherford, a dainty frock of ivory. Mrs. Dart, black beaded frock. Miss Dot Weston, overdress of ecru lace, worn over blue crepe de chine. Miss Molly Upton, frock of absinthe green crepe de chine, with hem of silver lace. Miss E. Lloyd, frock of peach taffeta, with bands of lavender and delphinium lace. Miss Constance Martin, a dainty frock of buttercup georgette. Miss Adelene Walker, shell pink georgette frock, with sequin trimmings. Miss Phyllis Weston, blue pink crepe de chine, worn under ecru lace. Miss Margaret Bradstreet, overdress of ivory lace, worn over same toned crepe de chine. Miss Evelyn Martin, frock of delphinium blue georgette. Miss Marjorie King, a dainty frock of floral taffeta. Miss Jean. Lawford, frock of black lace with deep hem of scarlet. Miss Dolly Vaile, serge green, with ruchings of orange. Miss Nancy Colbeck, frock of black, with trimmings of same toned lace. Miss Helen Bewes, frock of flame taffeta. Miss N. Wilson, mauve taffeta frock. Miss K. Waters, a dainty frock of primrose taffeta. Miss N. Owen, frock of tangarine beaded marocaine. Miss Mona Waters, dainty frock of white georgette, with trimmings of taffeta. Miss Ruby Wallace, a frock of blue and gold lace over satin. Miss P. Frankham, sealing wax red georgette frock. Miss Micky Ferguson, cx-ushed strawberry georgette, with panels of lace to tone.
